A New Proto Update is Now Available

 

What's Included

 
Proto M Version 0.19.0
  • WiFi Captive Portal - Proto M will now automatically launch a popup window to accept terms of service or fill out registration forms when it detects a captive portal on a network.
  • Audio Delay Fix on Forward Feed- An audio delay issue while live beaming has been patched.
  • Edit Device Date & Time- Users will now be able to edit the device date and time and time zone or sync automatically.
  • Restart Device- a new option for Restarting the device is now available from the device settings menu
  • Bug Fixes- minor bug fixes
 
 
How to Update:

Proto M: If your M device is powered on and connected to internet for the first time, the update will automatically download after you connect to WiFi. To do so, turn on the device, select a network and enter your WiFi password. 
 
NOTE: Be sure to hit the "eye" icon to show your password and double check for spelling before connecting.
 
If you have connected Proto M to your Proto Cloud account already, simply go to the devices page and click "Update" on the corresponding device.

WiFi Captive Portal
 
You can now join networks with a captive portal using Proto M! To do so, simply select the desired network, and input the network password if any. Once a captive portal is detected, a small popup window will launch on your Proto M. It may take a few seconds to launch the popup depending on your network.
 
Once the popup is launched, you can fill out any registration or terms of service using the device touchscreen. When you are finished, you can close the popup using the X Icon in the upper right.
 
Audio Delay Fix for Forward Feed
 
A fix has been included for Live Beaming to Proto M so that there is no longer delay between video and audio on the forward feed.
 
NOTE: The return feed may still experience audio delays depending on your network speed. Our team is aware of the issue and working to fix it.
 
Edit Proto M Date and Time
 
Proto M Users can now edit the date, time, or time zone from Device Settings. To do so, simply tap the Settings gear on the home screen. Under Date & Time you can either manually change the date and time or select "Set Automatically" to automatically sync with your current location's time zone.
 
Restart Proto M
 
Proto M Users can now restart their device using the Restart button in Settings. To do so, simply tap the Settings gear on the Home screen and select "Restart Device".
