How to Update ProtoOS Devices
Updating from Proto Cloud: Navigate to the Devices page and click "Update" on the corresponding device or directly from your device.
Updating from the Device: You can also update from the device settings menu by tapping on the "Settings" gear icon and then tapping "Update Device".
Note for Windows-based Epics
Updates have been discontinued on legacy Windows-based Epic devices. If you are interested in upgrading your Windows Proto Epic to ProtoOS, please contact
support@protohologram.com with the subject line, "Upgrade my Epic to ProtoOS".
How can I tell if my Epic is Windows-based?
Most Windows-based Epic devices will have a serial number starting with "MJ0".
To confirm if your device is running Windows, log into Proto Cloud and click on your device on the Devices page. Under the Device Info tab, the Version number will indicate if your device is using Windows or not.
