Follow the steps below to connect an external HDMI device (e.g., a laptop) to the Proto M2.
The external device and capture card must be connected to the M2 before the device is powered on—otherwise, the M2 will not detect the signal.
Please note that when using an external HDMI device connected via the capture card, camera, and touchscreen functionality on the Proto M2 will not be available.
- Connect one end of the HDMI-to-HDMI cable (included with the M2) to your external device and the other end to the HDMI In port on the provided Proto capture card.
2. Connect one end of the USB-C cable to the USB-C port on the capture card, and the other end to the USB-C port on the back of the Proto M2.
3. On the Proto M2, navigate to the Settings tab and select External HDMI to connect your external device.
